Don O’Neal, of Martinsville, Indiana, reached World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series victory lane for the first time in his career tonight in the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ finale at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida! Don timed in fifteenth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session, but later vaulted up to fourth in his heat race to grab the final transfer spot into the 40-lap main event. The popular driver known as “The Real Deal” then blasted from his thirteenth starting spot to grab the lead following a lap fourteen restart.
